A Cat Formation of a Mouse

Four new recordings on a 7” from Turku’s Rhythm Barrel Records (Rollstons, Red Carpet, Boomhauer). Three new Treeball songs and a cover version. Recorded early in 2003. A rougher (if possible) sound than the debut.

The first record with Michael McDonald, from North Carolina, on guitar. He had been playing with the band for a year by then. Fitted in snugly.

“Let Me Go” ended up on Bird Song, a skateboard documentary DVD by Melodica Skateboards, in 2004. In 2005 The Record Office sold the EP worldwide.

Reviews

Besides giving the listener extra energy to better cope the darkness of these autumn evenings you can really tell that the band had a lot of fun making this EP.

Tom Sundberg, Let’s Make Some Noise, November 2003, ★★★★★

The perfect accompaniment for eating banana yoghurt.

Antti Koivumäki, Rumba, no. 21/2003, ★★★★ (of 4)

‘You Remind Me of Your Aunt’ and ‘Missed’ are real gems.

Sue, November 2003, ★★★★

The expectations for the second album are high.

Jari Jokirinne, Desibeli.net, 17 November 2003, ★★★½

Nothing striking here, but it’s pretty sweet when it hits.

Zachary Houle, PopMatters, May 2006, ★★★
